Crown Reduction
A crown reduction keeps the trees natural structure but reduces its size by a predetermined amount always reducing to appropriate growth points to insure the tree retains a good amount of leaf bearing material. The amount a tree can be crown reduced by can vary significantly between each tree species.
Planting
We can plant trees and hedges of varying size and species. Under most circumstances we can source them on your behalf.
Deadwood Removal
Most trees once out of their younger years will have a certain amount of deadwood, where this poses a threat to other objects within its environment (people, animals, property etc.) this can be removed. Deadwood does also contribute to many positive features such as slowing wind speed through the tree and the wider ecosystem, so removal isn’t always necessary.
Crown Thinning
The density of a tree’s crown can be reduced by thinning. This process selectively removes particular branches to increase the amount of light passing through tree whilst keeping the size and shape of the crown untouched.
Firewood
We supply quality seasoned hardwood logs ready to burn in various quantities, all of our firewood is from our own tree care operations.
Tree Felling Or Dismantling
There are many reasons a tree may need to be removed it may be weakened, diseased, a hazard or an obstruction. Whatever the reason removal of the tree isn’t something that should be undertaken lightly. At Landbased Services Ltd we can maintain any hedge, whether you have an ornate box border or the largest of conifer hedges we have the equipment and expertise to deliver what you require.
Tree Preservation Order (TPO) And Conservation Area
If you own a tree with a preservation order or live within a conservation area you will need to gain permission from the local planning authority before carrying out work to your trees at Landbased Services Ltd we can do this on your behalf.
Crown Lifting
Crown lifting increases the amount of space below a tree’s crown often creating more space or light to certain areas whilst retaining the natural shape of the tree.
Pollarding
Pollarding removes all of the leaf bearing material from the tree often leaving just a large branch structure to the tree, this process is only carried out at certain times of the year and is very dependant on tree species.
Stump Grinding
After a tree has been felled we can remove the stump with our specialist machinery to allow the area to be redeveloped, replanted or restored into a lawn.
