A crown reduction keeps the trees natural structure but reduces its size by a predetermined amount always reducing to appropriate growth points to insure the tree retains a good amount of leaf bearing material. Crown lifting increases the amount of space below a tree’s crown often creating more space or light to certain areas whilst retaining the natural shape of the tree.
